March 14: Tsunami Books in Eugene, in conversation with UO Journalism prof and author Brent Walth, 2 p.m.

March 20: The White Salmon Library hosts me for an author talk from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Mt. View Grange on Main St., White Salmon

Tuesday, November 19: Pages & Pairings: A literary tasting with chef and author Kathy Watson. Kathy will be preparing a small plate feast, paired with wines from Kristof Winery, at Stem Wine Bar in Portland, as part of Kristof Winery’s Book Club. You can buy tickets here.

Sunday, October 12, 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Soup and Syllables at Ruby June Inn in Husum, WA. Chris and Gretchen will open the wine bar, and I will make soup and read and sign books. Ruby June Inn. 

Friday, October 17, 1 p.m. at Center 50+ in Salem, OR. I’ll be in conversation with fifth-generation Oregonian Julie Curtis, and we’ll talk about writing family stories. You can read more about it here. 

Saturday, October 18, 3 p.m. at Grass Roots Books in Corvallis, in conversation with OSU history profession Marisa Chappell. Here’s a nice poster from Grass Roots! 

Monday, October 20, 7 p.m., Bloomsbury Books in Ashland, in conversation with Shirleen Holt. Shirleen is a John S. Knight Journalism Fellow, and my former managing editor at Oregon Business magazine when I was editor in chief. This will be a super fun night for me with this incredible, engaging writer and friend. A poster!
